About Me.
Hi, I’m Kristin, the owner and doula behind Blooming Births. I became passionate about doula work after the birth of my son in January 2024. While I prepared as much as I could during pregnancy, my own birth experience ended up being overwhelming and traumatic, leaving me wishing I had stronger support and advocacy.
After that, I knew I wanted to help other women feel more prepared, supported, and heard during one of the most important moments of their lives. I began my training and quickly fell in love with this work.
As of April 2025, I have completed my training and am working toward full certification through DONA International. My goal is simple: to support you in a way that honors your needs, your voice, and your birth experience—so you never feel alone or unsupported.

Education
March 22nd, 2025
Lactation education class
I attended a 3 hour zoom class with DONA certified Laura Depasquale for a lactation education class where I learned the basics of breastfeeding. Please note I have been breastfeeding and helping other mothers breastfeed since I began my own journey in Jan. 2024, and have since continued with my second baby!
April 11-13th 2025
Childbirth education class
Doula training workshop
I attended a workshop and class in person with my same certified trainer from above. On day one for close to 9 hours, I was learning all the ins and outs of childbirth via the education. On days two and three, we did the doula training workshop where I learned everything there is about being a doula and how to help empower women through labor.
I have also completed childbirth education classes and am Lamaze certified in teaching childbirth education!
